Los Olivos
Residential complex in Los Olivos
Madrid
The competition deals with the design of a social housing building of big scale and high density in two phases in the area of Los Olivos in Madrid.
The building is perceived as two parallel linear units, northern/southern, that evolve on different grids, with different manipulations, transparencies and textures and meet in the cores of the vertical movement. Through this method, a series of shells is created which offer diversity of living having the ability to change form constantly. A patchwork of metallic fabrics unveils the interior organization of the building and responds to the surroundings.
